NZ Women's Surf Festival
NZ Women’s Surf Festival
The 2024 inaugural New Zealand Womens Festival of Surfing is being held at Pauanui on the Coromandel Peninsula on the 2-3rd of March.
The event is part of NZ Surf Series and Grom Series SNZ2000, NZ Longboard Series SNZ1000, but this is not just a competition, its a celebration of women's surfing and a fun weekend to get together to inspire, surf and develop.
There will be heaps of giveaways, prizes and other activations so don't delay, register now to compete in the event or just come down and checkout the action on the day.
AWSA will have a tent at this event. Come hang out, grab a tee, and learn more about our kaupapa.

Salt Shack Beginner Surf Camp
We are amped to host our next round of Gizzy surf and yoga camps for women! The weekend is all about having fun, building your confidence in the waves and improving your surfing fitness and skills! Gisborne is one of NZ’s most consistent surf spots with heaps of different breaks for beginner surfers. You’ll have 2 professional surf instructors and a group 6- 10 surfers, so you are guaranteed to get all the tips you need. You’ll stay in style in at a Wainui beach back, with all fresh healthy meals are catered for you. There will be plenty of beach action, Video analysis, professional photos, stretching and time to relax by the pool!

Lady of the Log 2023
We are so excited to be back for our second Lady of the Log, a wāhine longboarding competition. Held at Te Awanga, Hawke’s Bay’s famous righthand point break, The Lady of the Log is a celebration of the sisterhood of surfing - a space to connect, inspire and celebrate the amazing community of surfing.

An opportunity to come together with Victoria and Nikki for some movement and breathwork, followed by some nibbles and socialising.
