Lady of the Log 2023

  • Te Awanga, Hawkes Bay Te Awanga, Hawke's Bay, 4102 New Zealand (map)

Nau mai haere mai ngā wāhine!

We are so excited to be back for our second Lady of the Log, a wāhine longboarding competition. Held at Te Awanga, Hawke’s Bay’s famous righthand point break, The Lady of the Log is a celebration of the sisterhood of surfing - a space to connect, inspire and celebrate the amazing community of surfing.

We were blown away with the response to last year's event, so this year we're going bigger and better! Alongside the competition will be a market, featuring yummy kai, coffee, and stalls featuring local makers and producers.

Wāhine of all surfing abilities are encouraged and welcomed to enter. To enter, boards must be 8ft and over in length (foam boards available if needed). There will be are two divisions - Open Women and Beginner Women. Our beginner division is suited for wāhine who are new in their longboarding journey, or is their first time entering a surf competition.

Entries are limited so once tickets are live, make sure to rally your gal pals and secure your spots for you and your crew. We will have a Sea Sisters “stoke zone” set up at Te Awanga point, so even if you aren’t competing come on down, pull up a camp chair and share in the festivities.
